- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Don't mistake his quiet manner for boredom or disinterest. He's a very caring man who takes the time to think before he speaks and says things that are simple but profound. One thing I noticed: he takes notes thoroughly as you speak to him, and then, the next time you come in, he reviews those with you first, to make sure you're both on the same page, and then discusses changes/new events/etc. It always makes me feel like he knows where I am each time. I saw a different doctor once who always had no idea who I was when I am in and it always wasted half the time reminding him. His kindness is a huge factor. In one situation I was having this huge do-this or do-that decision I was trying to make, and he pointed out a simple solution that never occurred to me. Also, nothing really shocks him. He's not there as a therapist: that's a completely different thing so you're not going to meet Frasier and discuss your childhood issues (although he will discuss those briefly). That's more for a trained counselor to do. Aichouri handles medication and monitoring of those. His staff is lovely and his office is gorgeous. I know he's judging me and evaluating me, as that's his job, but I never feel like he's judging me harshly or dismissively.
